A tail-wagging dog —
unaware that his wagging tail
was betraying his own self-respect.
He wagged it happily,
until one day, by a twist of fate,
he came face-to-face
with his own dignity.
And then he barked—
out of sheer fear,
like a debtor
caught in the gaze of his lender.
